What is TTouch?

The Tellington TTouch is a gentle and unique approach to the care and training of our animal companions.  Developed by internationally recognized animal expert Linda Tellington-Jones this method, based on cooperation and respect, offers a positive approach to training, improvement in athletic skills and increased willingness and ability to perform. TTouch provides solutions to common behavioral and physical problems. It also helps establish a deeper rapport between humans and animals through increased understanding and more effective communication. TTouch uses a combination of specific touches, lifts, and movement exercises. TTouch helps to release tension and increase body awareness. This allows animals to be handled without provoking habitual fear responses. Animals can then more easily learn new and more appropriate behaviors. By using the TTouch and a variety of other tools, like the Confidence Course, you can assist your animal in experiencing self-confidence in previously frightening situations. Even the most difficult problems can be improved.  The TTouch has been used extensively to speed healing and recovery from injury and illness. It can help your animal become more comfortable being handled so routine visits to the veterinarian or groomer are more enjoyable for both you and your animal companion. This gentle method is currently being used by animal owners, trainers, breeders, veterinarians, zoo personnel and shelter workers throughout the United States and around the world.
